"Warriors is about four tribes of cats that live in the forest, known as clans. The names of the clans are Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Riverclan, and Windclan. They all live by a set of laws known as the warrior code which controls their way of life. The warrior code contains laws such as “Kits must be apprenticed no younger than 6 moons” and “Give thanks to star clan for any prey caught” Starclan is the clan where cats go to once they die. Starclan provides prophecies and guidance to the clans. Sometimes cats die but are not accepted into Starclan due to actions they did while they were alive, such as breaking the warrior code or just generally being a bad person. When they aren’t let into Starclan they go to the Dark Forest. Once a moon (month) the clans all meet at four trees under a truce that lasts for the night. The point of this is so clans can share their struggles, triumphs, deaths, and new apprentices that have become warriors, deputies, medicine cats, or leaders. If an argument arises that breaks the truce, Starclan sends clouds to cover the moon, telling the clans that the gathering is over and they will not allow the fighting to go on."
